E-Learning Platform: From On-Site Discovery to Nearshore Delivery
Three months on site in California, then a nearshore team from Latvia. The platform runs in production and was later sold to new investors.
Problem
The client builds online learning systems and serves 1,000+ clients.
Technology in their market changes all the time. They needed experienced engineers and analysts who could adapt quickly to changing requirements and organize the development. People like that are hard to find.
What we built
Our engineers flew to California and worked in the client's office for three months. They met the client's customers and prepared the requirements, the architecture and the specifications.
Back in Latvia, they led our development team and delivered the project together with the client's US engineers. Over the years the front end moved from JavaScript to ActionScript, and later to TypeScript single-page applications.

Result
The results satisfied the investors. After launch, the team was reduced to three developers to support the product.
The platform runs in production. It was later sold to new investors, and the client has brought us back as consultants many times.
